new power director 8 installs but will not start up

" Power Director has stopped working" is the message windows 7 gives me. The program installed no problem.

I am running Windows7/I7/8gb ram/500gb hd/64bit/blue ray reader

I have uninstalled, software updates and windows troubleshoot, with no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you updated your Quicktime yet? You need to do that as well.
