Hey there,

I've just started using PowerDirector. I'm trying to convert some of my VHS tapes to DVD. When I plug the VHR into my KWorld DVD Maker, and it into the computer, I can switch to capture mode and watch the tape right there. I can even hear the sound.

But when I record, there is no sound in the video file. What is the problem? Settings:

Video Profile: DVD HQ
Audio Input: [the line-in port on my sound card]
Volume: all the way up

Try using either sterio or mono mix but then you may have the same problem as me, the input audio level is too high causing distortion and the input level control has no effect. Product support is no help as they say you cannot adjust the input level as there is no control for this!

Thanks for the response. Turns out I had the wrong sound driver enabled on my computer.

Many thanks again!
