I would like to reinstall my operating system on my computer...I am using Windows 7 64 bit...I have my movies and saved projects on a completely separate HD while the Cyberlink PD 8 program is installed on the regular OS HD...Is there a way I can restore my projects after I am done with the reinstall and keep all my transitions and tittles in them...The videos and saved projects I have saved on the separate HD will remain untouched...Thanks

As long as all of your data is on another hard drive, you should not lose anything.

Mainly you need the project file. (.pds) and all of the videos and audio files included in your project.

Have you checked out Director's chair > File > Export > Pack project materials.

You can pack all of your current opened project and materials to a drive or folder of your choice.

Tip: if the folder does not exisit, create it, exit Pack, reopen Pack. Pack defaults to the last folder clicked on.

Pack only stores what is used in the timeline, if you have other files you would need to copy them separately. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Forgot to say, all of the transitions, edits, cuts, everything you have done to create your video is in the Project file (.pds). Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.
