- what kind of content and resolution?
- did you disabled TT feature (pop up shown when playback HD material)?
- did you try to unistall and install PowerDVD?

HI Michael

First i had Powerdvd 7 or 8 Ultra. Then i did the upgrade to Power DVD 9 ultra. At first everything was fine. I remember playing a dvd back then and it was so smooth that it looked like those tvs with motion flow 120hz. I could change the settings on the fly too. Now i can only adjust the features before a start the Standard DVD which is the media i'm using. And after the dvd starts i only get to adjust the Lightning effect. The other two are grayed out and not selected. Also i can't change the display mode for comparison. Basically none of the cool stuff is working. Thank you.

please try the install uninstall I suggested in previous reply
please make sure to use latest drivers for your VGA

please post:
- orginal PowerDVD 9 Version (full retail or OEM or part of CMS ?
- Version of original PDVD 9 (when click on "CyberLink" logo in left top)
- SR-Number of original PDVD 9 (when click on "CyberLink" logo in left top)
- installed patch - the exact file name!

The attachment has everything about the original Power DVD9 Ultra
The update patch is the builtd CyberLink.2528(TaRe45)(Pa_DVD091203-02. That is the file thank you.
