Until someone else come along to help, I have uploaded over 100 videos to youtube and always produce the video first then manually upload to youtube.

First off you get to choose the resolution and format you want the video to be in and secondly you get to find out if the problem is in the producing of the video or the uploading to youtube. Using the automatic upload from within PD if it fails you don't know if it is a problem with the video or your internet connection.

I have the same problem,
I tested with diferent ways and just video (without any titles etc) I upoaded, but as I wanted to upload edited video with titles, transitions, borders = Error. Could not upload the video to Youtube!

U try just produce your video saving it in your PC and after producing has finished upload it! Ofcause U wont get HD there but U will have uploaded video PowerDirector 17. Windows 10

Here's what I wrote below, and of course you can save is as High-Definition if you use the appropriate "Save" method.

I save the files when I do the "Produce" as .m2ts files which are 1080 High-Definition files. It is referred to as an H.264 AVC in the "file-saving" menu.

Apparently the latest patch solves the problem of not being able to upload to youtube.

Just one tip re the format to upload to youtube. I shoot my video at 1280X720 at 14-17K bit rate using my Panasonic TZ7. I produce my video using the MobilePhone format which has extension .3G2. After the video is produced I just change the extension to .MP4 this gives me a great balance between file size and quality.

I used to produce my Sanyo videos at full HD of 1920X1080 but found the larger size and extra power needed to edit them was not worth the trouble for youtube.

I use the same Mobile Phone/Cam Woo format a lot too.
[As a side note: It was vn800rider (Adrian) who first discovered that that profile was in PD8].
But the one time, in the middle of waiting for one upload to YT, it dawned on me that I had forgotten to change the extension to .mp3.
Yet that upload, once done, was perfect. So I'm not sure where, when, or why this extra step of having to rename the .3g2 to .mp3 got started here in the forum.
I then did a few more test uploads (set to private), and I could see no reason or benefit in re-naming the .3G2 to a .mp3 extension, when uploading to YT. But, maybe I'm missing something. Click here PDtoots for a collection of PowerDirector Tutorials and Tips

Thanks Cranston that would save me one step. I just tried it though with my video player SplashPro and it will not play .3G2 but does play the video with the extension .MP4 so I guess I will just keep changing the extension.
