Help! I just did an update, got what looks like a completely new version of PD (why?) And now it crashes to the desktop every time I try and load a project!!! What's going on?

I had a perfectly good version that worked fine - why do they do this?

How do I rewind back to PD21? - it worked fine and did not want a new version (that doesn't work). I suppose I'm now going to have to spend ages troubleshooting this nonesense!

Is anyone else having this problem? It just crashes to the desktop on load and gives no kind of diagnostic message.

My apologies - here is the DxDiag file.

As I said on the other thread, since my original post here I have updated drivers, disabled hardware acceleration and installed the hotfix. Projects now load and I have been able to do some editing. However, the problem of crashing when attempting to use the FX room continues. Any help appreciated!

Your best bet at this point is to work directly with CL tech support. They're the only people with the proper tools to diagnose these crashes, and they also have access to the developers and can push thenm for the necessary code changes
