Hi
I have found a video inteo I like on P Direcotr 365, but wanted to change the video - however I still want to retain the shapes and everything else, but once you replace the video, everything goes. Does anyone know where I can get these overlays to add to my video - here is the link to the effects I want but can't extract

I'm not exacly clear on what you've done that didn't work, but did you watch the tutorial on using the new Video Intro/Outro Designer?

Hi
Thanks for your swift reply. I basically wanted to extract the shapes and overlay sequence from the video template - I have my own video I want to use, but I wanted all the shapes / effects and everything else (minus the woman in the original video)

Doesn't seem a way to edit just the woman out and keep the shapes etc.

Wondering if this sequence or similar can be found elsewhere os is it very difficult to replicate? I know there are lightning shapes etc I can add, but wondered if there are sequences of just these overlays?

SOrry if I didn't make it clear
ANy ideas?

You can't "extract" anything from a sample video. You'll need to track down that template (or one that's similar) and use the designer as shown in the tutorial to customize those features to be overlaid on your video clip.

It would have been ideal if the person who created that sample on DirectorZone had included a link to the actual template they used. That way someone could download it and start working right away.

However, and maybe most importantly, I'm certain that the only items actually in that template are the words and rectangular frame. None of the swirling brushstrokes or lighting effects would be included, as they're part of the original video the designer created.

You might want to contact the creator and see if they'd be willing to make something like that for you using your video content.
