Ok Carl,
Sony DCR-HC52 MiniDV camcorder. Athlon 4000 processor, 1.63 GB ram...onboard graphics and sound card.
Trying to batch capture my video from New York....First off, I don't like how Cyberlink won't take control of the camera and automatically rewind it like Microsoft's simple movie editor will do. I would think a more powerful software program would do this as well. I then have it do it's quick scan where it will recognize all the scenes...
1.First puzzling thing I notice is that it won't capture my very first clip....it's like it won't let the tape start at the absolute beginning. It seems to want to leave this 10-20 second gap before it will start capturing the first scene, which if it does this then it is missing one of my clips I want to capture.
..I chose to leave all the clips checked as I want to capture them all after it does its quick scan.
1. Then, unless I unhook the camcorder from the computer, I can't even rewind the tape without it stopping at every scene....which takes forever when you have 60+ different scenes!
2. I then notice that once I go to start the actual capture process....nothing will happen....the tape on the camcorder won't start playing....the software just does nothing as well.
