I can't work out how to get youcam 9 to stream a media file eg: a wmv or avi file. I've been searching google and reading the manual but everything is about capturing from the preview window. I'd like to be able to switch the output stream from camera to a video file and then back again. can youcam do this?

Hello,

No, you cannot stream a video file to YouTube, your TV, etc. in YouCam. YouCam just lets you stream your live webcam video to the Facebook, YouTube, etc.

Cheers

Hello,

You can try using Screen Recorder for this. You can check out the trial version here:

https://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/screen-recorder/download_en_US.html

It will allow you to play a video in a player like PowerDVD or VLC, and then you can stream your desktop:

https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/screenrecorder/4/enu/03_00_00_streaming.html

It will also let you include a webcam as an overlay in the video you are streaming:

Cheers.
