None my MOV or MP4 files work when they are in timeline. They give Media Source Error (Error code 2) after Windows 10 update. The update on Windows 10 displays "2023-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64 based Systems (KB5025221) and this caused PD18 gives Media Source Error (Error code 2).

Media Source Error Report :

Material filename : C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector18\SampleClips\pal\Skateboard.mp4
Detailed information : hr = 0x80040217, at ..\CES_Source\Src\CES_Engine\CES_MediaLoader.CPP:4510

Thanks for the details.

I see that in your original post the issue occurred with the Skateboard.mp4 sample clip but the info in the MediaInfo clip is different. Other than the odd pixel size and aspect ratio, I don't see anything unusual with there, and certainly nothing seems off about the sample clip.

Since you have found that the issue goes away after uninstalling the Windows update, it seems that not letting Win10 reinstall it is your best bet for now, especially since other people have reported some serious issues with that patch.

In the meantime, make sure you have the latest (and final) patch for PD18 installed, which is build 3801 from Feb 2021. You can download it from here.
