Hello!

I searched the forums on this subject and found a thread from 2013, but it was not much help.

I had the PowerDirector 365 subscription installed on a separate drive D and that drive started to fail. I uninstalled PowerDirector Suite and removed the drive. I reinstalled the program onto my main C Drive.

All the programs in the suite launch just fine, but PowerDirector fails to launch and shows this message:

"Cyberlink PowerDirector cannot launch because an important program component is unavailable. Try reinstalling the program"

I am not sure what is missing? I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and get the same result. I appreciate the help!

Thank You,

Kirk

Hi,

I'm assuming that CAM reports a successful install/re-install etc.?

Others may have some experience that may be helpful, but the rather generic error message doesn't give much to go on.

It will be worth posting a DxDiag for review in case that may show something up, but I would recommend raising a support ticket anyway, as it may be the quickest route to a resolution if the new install has gone awry.

Cheers

Yes, it did. I just went ahead and deleted every bit of the program, including all the add ons using Revo Uninstaller. I think that helped with removing all the left over files and clearing out the registry.

I went and downloaded everything again and reinstalled everything and it works perfectly now. Must have been some corrupt files left over from the previouse deletion/installation.

Thank You,

Kirk
