Why does shrinking my clip result in so much quality loss??

Hello,
I am trying to produce a video. I have a clip of myself taking playing over a slideshow. I want to shrink the clip of me talking and put it in the corner. Pretty basic. I have read all the articles about cropping, PIP, etc. So when I crop the clip, it looks fine. When I resize it to put it in the corner, it gets really blurry and looks terrible. Haven't found any info on how to fix this or why it's happening. I can watch the clip full screen at original size and the resolution is great. Why is shrinking it causing such a problem and what can I do about it? TIA

Are you talking about watching the timeline preview in PD or after the video has been produced?

If it's the former and the produced video is fine, either increase the timeline preview resolution onme step or ignore the poor PiP quality while you're editing.

If the PiP video looks bad in the produced video, make sure you're producing to a high quality format. Use the Profile Analyzer on the Produce page to match the quality of your source clips.
