Basically the audio editing in PDR18 is 2 channel (L and R) only via the in-built Audio Editor.

Does it matter which version of audio director? Will audio director 10 work?

Is this compatible with Powerdirector 14?


Additionally, is 5.1 audio editing only available in audio director? Or is there another version of Powerdirector that has this capability? It seems very strange to me these features would be in separate programs, when so many big softwares just do everything all in one.

Difficult for me to tell exactly - I don't have PDR14 currently active on my system, however my active PDR11.0.0.2418 calls up my latest version of ADR 365 13.0.2309, so I see no reason why PDR14 wouldn't call up ADR10.

However, my current video editing software is PDR365 Business 21.1.2401, ADR365 13.0.2309 and CDR365 11.0.2220 and without uninstalling them, I have no easy way to give a precise answer, especially as exact versions may have differing functionality.

I would assume that CL has taken the approach of a Director Suite combining all their 4 main NLE software, as well as offering the separate tools for marketing reasons. No version of PDR will edit and display 6 channels.

Someone else might have PDR14 and ADR10 available to test their integration.
