Powerdirector 16 on a new laptop

Hi,

I originally installed Powerdirector 16 on my old lapptop using the installation cds (not the digital download method). I now have a new laptop which doesn't have an optical drive. I would like to install Powerdirector 16 onto my new laptop. Is this possible, since the product key was already activated on my previous computer (so I can't follow the digital download instructions as the product key has already been used)? If I was to obtain a usb optical drive, would I be able to install PD 16 on my new laptop that way, or would I still have the same problem with the product key already being used previously.

Hello,

Yes, if shouldn't be a problem to reinstall and activate with your product key. Users are allowed a number of activations with each product key.

Be noted that it does not look like PowerDirector 16 was updated to work on Windows 11, so if your new laptop is using this OS you may run into some problems.
