I've had a look around the forum for ways to do this. If I've understood what I have read correctly I can see two options. There is batch produce where you produce multiple pds files and then get them to output in a batch and there is produce range where you marl out your clip and output it.

Is there a way of combining these processes whereby you mark out split points throughout the large file and then tell it to effectively batch produce the ranges? If not I guess I'll just work with the produce range option.

Depending on what you want to do with all the clip segments, maybe the PreCut tool will be helpful

In case you don't want to use the precut, there are free utilities out there that can split clips at keyframes so nothing needs to be re-rendered. The files won’t be split to where you want it. That is a small price to pay. Do a google search for them.

Thanks,
I didn't know that function existed. It looks as though that will be just what I need.

There's also a tool in the Media Room that will automatically break your video into shorter clips based on content, if you're interested.
