Blu Ray Playback - White Screen
[Post New]
Hi Guys...
I just loaded the software for Cyberlink DVD Suite, Version 9 today. I've have been looking forward to viewing a BueRay I recently completed authoring using Encore & burning to my Pioneer BDR-2205. I used a BD-RE Disc and wrote successfully to it. I know this since I was able to view the finished disc thru a PS3. I did not have the PowerDVD software until today to be able to view it. With Power DVD 9 loaded I played the BD... menu pops up fine... selected play movie, heard background music but was not able to see video save for a WHITE screen.

*Any ideas as to what is going on?
*Is it a codec that Power DVD is not seeing?
*An update or patch needed here?
*Also... this is a rewriteable disc... I authored to it once and was not able to author to it a second time... it's 25 gigs and media written to it was 1 gig. Seems like the rewriteable disc finalized... I never saw any prompt allowing permission... when I go to author to it again it says disc full... yet only 1 gig of media is there!

Thank you in advance... look forward to your feedback!!!

I would visit Nvidia driver downloads page, make sure you have the latest drivers. Also your primary and extended display should be HDCP compliant. Also your screen resolution newer video card software recommend what type of resolution is best for each monitor. Make sure you follow "recommended". Also check PowerDVD that Hardware Acceleration is enabled. That check mark is very important.
Maybe before making changes you could try playing BluRay on your primary slowly following these steps.
then once primary works go to extended and follow same procedure.

heres the drivers your looking for by the way http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-winxp-x32-197.90-whql-driver.html

GOOD LUCK
