I own and record with my Sony HD Camcorder HDR-HC1, records in 1080i
However, I noticed both Cyberlink Power Director V5 and I just recently upgraded for this very reason, Power Producer V4 only detect my HD camera as a DV camera and NOT an HDV camera. Why is this? My
HD Cam records at 1080i

I see on the icons HDV is an option, just not offered to me with my HDV Camcorder.

Here is a caption from your website

Is there something I'm missing or suppose to do to activate my HD Cam? I do connect with a firewire cable.

can you please help me fix this so I can
capture my home videos at 1080 in HD

thank you
Louis

Check your instruction book. There is a setting in the camera that has to be set. I believe the 1080 function has to be turned off in order to capture to pd5. I had the same problem.
