Error when adding audio track
Guest [Avatar]
[Post New]
Hi, I get this error when I try to add a audio track.

"cyberlink powerdirector could not construct the media source as a graph. This may be due to a lack of decoding filters for the file you are trying to edit."

Anyone else with this problem?

1. You should update the version of PD you are using - you haven't mention which that is, by applying the patch.
http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/support/powerdirector/patches_en_US.html
2. You may need to add a decoding pack like FFDShow to your system.
3. Anonymous posting will soon be prevented (new forum set up yesterday). Please log in and post under your own name and add an avatar.

FFDShow is a free package. You can find the info on the net easily. FFDShow and many other extras are available at http://seemyworldonvideo.com/index.php

Hi thanks for answer. I use PD 8.

I applied the patch and downloaded FFDSHOW but it did not help. It has worked very fine for a long time, without the patc and FFDShow so it is strange that it suddenly should mess up the PD? I have tried to google it, and som suggestion is to do some registry cleaning, but I am not sure why that would help?

Any other suggestion?
