is there a simple help manual to buy?

The youtube links? are there any in order, from starting from fresh? The youtube links seem to be quite scattered and not logically put forward for begineers.

Where do you suggest i begin? please...pls don't say the help buttons ....i'm really after a useful - begineers guide (stuff like you find for Pro-tools, cubase, Logic etc for making music)

cheers for your input

Joe

doesn't the program come with a UsersGuide? (PDF File?)

I didn't buy the program yet, are you saying there's no documentation for it included?

or, are you just using the trial download file?

Hi Joe,

Take a look at the following links, these will give you a good starting point to video editing.

The tutorials are for PDR7 but can be used for PDR8

Hi Joe -

You can download this PD8 user's guide http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/support/powerdirector/userguide_en_GB.html

I wouldn't say it's a "step-by-step" manual, but it may help you.

When I was getting started, the most valuable learning resources I found were this forum & the video tutorials on the CyberLink Channel.

Cheers - Tony

Hi Joe
I fully agree that this is a powerful program but fails at giving us newbies clear and concise steps from A to Z. I have been unable to find any tutorial books, electronic or physical. Maybe it would be a good project for someone.

In the meantime I will try all the advice that you have been given and hope I manage.

I have just downloaded the PDF manual for Powerdirector 8 from http://download.cyberlink.com/ftpdload/user_guide/powerdirector/8/PowerDirector_UG_ENU.pdf

This seems to be exactly what I have been looking for. Would it be possible to iether include it with the software download or at least a prominent limk to it

Cheers

Hi Jim,

Welcome to the forum.

The manual is in PD8. Just click on... Director’s Chair (icon) > Help > Help Index.
The items listed in the Index, are same items that are in the manual you downloaded.
