Hi Corey -

I guess you want to fade in from black...

All you need to do is drop a fade transition at the beginning! Adjust the duration for the speed of fade you want.

The same applies to the end.

it's easy when ya know what yer doin' isn't it?

i may be needing Tony's expertise with it too, ...

... If Cyberlink lets me transfer my PDVD10 ultra license payment to
PowerDirector 8 ultra, that is ... and just refund the price difference, from the price of PD 8 Ultra, extended to members 'till May 2nd, but they may have to extend it one extra day for me, 'cause they take 24 hours to reply

I really needed the editing program first, anyway, it seems. Oh well!

One other thing, if the fade transition eats up too much of the adjoining video frames, start with a color-board (black), then use the transition, then the video footage. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Hi EditMode -

I have zero expertise with those sort of things. Our moderator, Dafydd, may be able to advise you...

... but I don't think I'd hold my breath waiting for CyberLink to transfer your license!

EditMode-001,
It'll be treated as two actions.
1. You get the refund to the credit card etc.
2. You make a purchase.

CyberLink do not "handle" the online transactions, everything is routed through Digital River's secure service provider operation, like many software companies do.

Corey:
I have edited the Subject displayed for this thread to reflect the topic you've raised. "How to fade in".

Thank you, that would be acceptable too.
if there's any program they'd want me to run on my system to remove any registry entries of the pdvd10, or files still in the OS, that's OK as well.
Then they can deactivate the CD Key, or have my system send a confirmation all was removed (or whatever other methods chosen for the 30-day refund policy)

I'd probably make the purchase first, then wait for the refund from the first purchase, - I don't think Cyberlink is running away any time soon and don't need to wait until the money is returned to buy the PD 8 Ultra, - I just want to be sure all this is acceptable to them first.

no, i meant after i transfer my license to PD8,
i didn't expect refund expertise from you.

what i'd like to know now, is, does PD8 Ultra set up the AVCHD edit with proxy editing automatically, or do i have to select that option manually?

i hope you're mistaken should i wait for the refund before purchase?

Hi EditMode-001,

I think this thread has gone way off topic. Please start a new thread with your own topic.

I'm locking the post at this stage.

Thank you for your cooperation.
