trail version not installed on vista

i have a new vista PC and tried to install the trial version of the software. when I got to launch it after the install, it says "thanks for trying PD. your trial period has expired, please ....." This was the first time that I launched it. I have heard relativly good things on this software but want to try it first. Any suggestions?

This was my very next question as well-- same problem here. It wants a CD key for the trial version. There sure seem to be a lot of hoops to jump though to try out this program.
