I am completely confused what software to purchase to edit the files and burn DVDs shot on my JVC Everio MG21E/EK camera.
I have used and like the Cyberlink software supplied with the camera, but want to be able to edit the audio on each clip.
I downloaded the trial version of Powerdirector5 and found like many other people "NO AUDIO".
I have read other posts on this forum but I am completely confused.
Can anyone give me an answer?. I don't want purchase some software to find it does not meet my needs. John

Hi John,

I've created a video for you to show a little bit of audio editing in PowerDirector 6. It isn't a "great" video...a bit rushed really as i also wanted to test out some web script at the same time.

Visit: http://www.seemyworldonvideo.com/video4/default.asp
and you'll see a heading VIDEO TRAINING. I'll add a few more in a little while.

Hi Dafydd,
Thanks for your reply.
I have clicked on the Version Comparison link for PowerDirector 6 Deluxe on the Cyberlink web page.
I can see no reference to Dolby Digital. Can you put my mind at rest.

Hi John,

Oops, I should have come back to you with a second answer....

I've created a video for you...dedicated to the question you posed.
Click to view Video - Dolby Digital in PD6

I've just added a 4:3 to 16:9 video - a new one and I'll have a go at showing how to edit wmv profile templates. These last two video's use new wmv templates - let me know what you think of the streaming video quality.

Thanks Dafydd.
That puts my mind at rest.
Do you know when PD6 will be available in the UK.
Regarding the video streaming quality, it was pretty good.

It's available from SoftDeko and has been for some time - in disc format

Thanks Dafyyd.

Having seen your film clip, the layout of PD6 is totally different from my version of PD Express.
I wanted to download a trial to determine if I still like PD6. When I click on the link it just reloads the same page. It does say the price is £0 but I am reluctant to enter my credit card details in case I do not decide to buy it.
Am I correct that this is the only way to obtain a trial copy.
Also do Softdeko supply a disc.

The price on the site says "SoftDeko Price BUY NOW: £46.90" for the FULL version of PowerDirector 6 deluxe - delivered as a CD disc.

The trial version of PD6 which you seek should be available any day soon. I was told the target was mid April which we've now reached.

I have used all versions of PD and PD6 is a must have... a vast improvement on PD3Express. Offers good value for money.

Dafydd

Note: SoftDeko/Dafydd Bevan are linked and we sell licenses for the use of CyberLink software.

Hi,

I just bought a JVC GZ-MG130U and got the PowerDirector Express software. I'm trying to figure out how to combine several videos together. Can someone help me?

Thanks,

Brad
