Cant seem to play a Bluray disc using PowerDVD 22 Ultra

Hello
I just recently installed PowerDVD 22 Ultra on my laptfop and am attempting to play a bluray disc. I have an external ASUS BluRay disc drive via USB 3.0 (BW-16D1X-U) and when I try to play one of my bluray discs I get this error (see attachment). Not sure what I am doing wrong. Error saying that HDCP cannot be initiated, but I don't know what that means.

Hello,

HDCP stands for "High Defintion Content Protection". What the error is referring to is the connections between your computer and your display device. See this FAQ for detailed information:

Your computer setup must adhere to the requirements for playing Blu-ray Discs. You can use the BD Advisor to test if your computer meets these requirements and get advice on how to fix it. You can download the advisor at the below link:
