Multiple doses of Fix/Enhance

As I believe I should, every so often I update my 'Save Project' so that in the event of a disaster all is not lost.
Periodically I go into Fix/Enhance and both Stabilise and Enhance Video and then click 'Apply to all'
While I was waiting for the last lot to update, I started wondering if in fact I was Stabilising and Enhancing again and again and again all my earlier saved projects to a point of 'distortion'.
If this is the case can you please tell me how I can undo the multiple fixes.

Hi,
You should only apply any fix or change to a video clip that needs it, never to everything or you'll pay a price for the application of the change.

Change = render every frame, every clip with an alteration.

You will use up the resources of your PC and will likely crash sooner rather than later. Edit carefully and apply sparingly. Use delete to dump junk and save and use only the best of what you have.

Note: Use a Tripod or a Steady Cam (ask vn800rider)

Fix/Enhance is either on or off. You have a video clip that you what to adjust the color. You make your adjustment and its done. When you save your pds file it will save everything in its current state. If you want to remove the color adjustment just click on the clip and remove the check mark and your video will return to its original form.

Now, if you were to produce your video to a file, all those enhancements you made are now included in the produced file and you can't undo that file. Obviously you can go back to your pds file and remove the enhancements if you do not like what was produced and produce another file with the enhancements removed or modified.

James, I have been using Fix/enhance and am trying to work out how to only select a change on one clip in a timeline which has more than one.
Think what I have done is cliked apply to all and whole video has changed.
Tried selecting clip only but loose fix/enhance button.
The video I have compiled is over four hours on to 4.7gb DVD and with fixes, smart fit, etc. is taking a very long time to do.
My Canon MVX330i id DV but not a high resolution. For our needs it has worked well using Nero 8 and Cyberlink DVD Suite but CPD8 is a whole new ball game.
I can see it is a brilliant program but a learning curve envolved to master it.
Thanks for your advice.

Hi Peter,

Have you had a chance to watch any of the video tutorials on this site? They are an excellent place to start. Despite my large number of posts, there are many areas where I still have questions.

I recently completed a project that consisted of 50 video segments from video from 1978 that my father took. Naturally the color was horrible and the white balance was wrong every time a scene or the lighting changed. Additionally, much of the video was fuzzy. I went through each segment one at a time and used Fix/enhance separately for each one. I found that after going though this process that now the color is much better and the original grainy video is significantly improved. You should be able to do do much the same with your extensive project.

Something must not be right since you should be able to use Fix/enhance for each of your clips. Q9300 2.5 GHz

Yes, thanks James. I will persist and have looked at some vid tutorials but am looking for that elusive beginners one?
Have used Nero a lot and CPD8 is a big jump, but a good one it will be for me one day.
Thanks again.
