I have a rather noisy bit of footage that was shot in a dim room, so i apply the DeNoise filter to it at default setting and the resulting video produced has kind off blocky vertical lines in it. you can see what i mean in this still shot, look to the upper teft corner to see it best

Hi Bruce,
A number of questions for you to give more information please. I'd also like to see a screenshot of your Edit/Video tracks and content.

And the camera is?
Video resolution is?
Video format is?

********************************
You can not pinpoint the issue BUT you can give more detail of content and provide a visual image as well as a diagnostic of your set up. Please note that 3 (x100kb) images/files can be attached to your reply.

I have installed xp on the same machine and installed powerdirector and for some reason it seems to be fine now, so im guessing that my windows 7 was the problem, although i dont see why

Poor lighting,
Source camera type
Small lens

Basically you've got unsuitable conditions for your video camera to work in.

Sorry, I cant help you with this.
