Hi All

I'm producing (MPEG2) a small project and keep getting:

Any ideas - as I've got 'tonnes' of system memory!

Happing editing

Hi Neil,
This is an old issue - perhaps.

Please can you attach a screenshot of the timeline content.

Previously I found it was triggered by the placement of a color board and transition.

I assume you're using the latest build of PD8.

Thank you for posting an image.

If you'd opted to save as a png or gif, the file size would have been smaller and for a bigger image.

I've struggled to see the beginning of the video. If you could please extend the track and show the beginning.

State what sanyo camera/video footage frame size and fps option you are using please - motiongroup, I will then or one of us will try and replicate.

Hello, I was able to solve the problem.
I've used the old projects were created with the version 2508th
New projects are doing at present no problems.
The old project was now calculated correctly after I removed the stabilizer and added again.

I used in this project different formats 1080p30/60 of the Sanyo HD2000 and the Samsung NV24 HD 720p30 ..

Hi All

Sorry I haven't replied sooner!

Thanks to all who took the time to reply.

I worked out how to rectify the "NOT ENOUGH SYSTEM MEMORY". It was:

1. Master video track had a clip that was "stablized" in "FIX/ENCHANCE"

2. In the PIP track I had another video clip that was "stablized" in "FIX/ENCHANCE"

After unchecking the 'stablizer' check box in the PIP clip I was able to produce the entire clip.

Weird!

P.S. I'm still using build 2508. Happing editing

Best Regards

Thank you motiongroup - good to know what you came up with.

Well done Neil, excellent follow up on your initial post - very interesting bit of information which I have passed onto CyberLink.

I'd like when you want to, apply the 2704 patch. It is supposed to speed up AVCHD rendering.

Hi Dafydd

"I'd like when you want to, apply the 2704 patch. It is supposed to speed up AVCHD rendering. "

I have no problem installing the 2704 patch HOWEVER before I do, I have actually UNCHECKED the "Enable file processing to speed up........"

Will this update still speed up my AVCHD rendering?

Thanks in advance Happing editing

Hi Neil,
Andrew (on the forum) recently carried out some AVCHD render tests - he reckons the build 2704 is faster.

If you are running a 32 bit operating system Windows only allows a maximum of 2 gig of memory to any one program no matter how much ram you have in your system.

In the past using PD7 and PD8 when I have been editing 1920X1080 HD video with multiple pips and enhancements I also got the Out of System Memory error. I don't know if the problem still exists as my new camera only shoots 1280X720. My youtube channel====> http://www.youtube.com/user/relate2?feature=mhsn

But its not even that long of a video. Like 8 mins tops. It should still let me do it. Especially it being the only program open. I wasnt even editing any thing shot with my camera. It was working awesome till i tried this video. and it does not seem to want to do it. It has a grudge against 7 min videos. Maybe XP is the problem?

Maybe uninstall and reinstall the program? then apply the new patch again before using the program..

Hi Darren,
Could you please tell us what your system configuration is and what version of windows you are using: This link is usefful http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366778%28VS.85%29.aspx#physical_memory_limits_windows_xp and a google search on ": Windows XP 3GB Startup switch "

32 bit Windows can use more than 2GB for Apps. However I suspect that this has nothing to do with it. If you could do a DXdiag for us AND read Dafydd's entry on what info we need to help. Where all flying blind just now. I am using PD8 Ultra 3022, with absolutely NO problems to process HD clips from my Panasonic (but I DON'T use PD8 to do the capture of the M2ts files from the Camera).
One of the updates to PD8 did change some of the program headers to enable it to address >2GB can't remember which.

I would check the size and handling of your page file.

I had a problem with out of memory until I moved the page file to a non C: drive and increased the size to about 4GB. I have Windows Managing the page file.

I am running Windows XP pro and have 4 GB ram installed. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

1 GB of system memory is low. It is not surprising that you can run out of memory.

Increasing the page file to 4000 Megabytes would help.
What would be best is to increase your RAM. Memory modules are cheap now. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Hi Darren,
What kind of files are you processing? 1GB is certainly a bit lean BUT your system would appear to meet Cyberlink's requirements spec as long as you are NOT processing HD.
Can you please say what your system spec is - the bios revision doesn't mean much unless we know what the PC/motherboard is and what the graphics card is. Also what have you got installed and what was active when it crashed. What does the event log say about the lack of system resource?
Sorry to be a bit nerdy BUT if we don't have the detail you will simply get opinions and peoples thoughts that might or might not help.
Don Maybe you could let us see the dxdiag?

Don
