I switched my operating system from windows 7 rc back to vista. All the files of my project are still there but in different locations. I am working on a professional project with a deadline and now Pwoerdirector 8 cannot locate my files anymore!!
What is the best way to reconnect my files to my project?

2 ways.

1. When you open your pds file in PD you get asked to browse for the location - do so and find your files.
2. Big work around. Open the pds file in a text editor and then change the address of each file to the new location.

Note: If you'd have selected File > Export > Pack Project Materials and saved your project - all data to one location, you wouldn't need to do anything other than open the pds of the packed project.

Thank you very much. I was very nervous and your suggestion of editing the project file helped to save me many hours of tedious, stressful work.

I did too move my projects around on my PC once and when trying to open one, DOH!, got a message "project source files not found".

The following Dafydd's solution worked for me.

When you open your pds file in PD you get asked to browse for the location - do so and find your files.
Read not to contradict and confute, nor to believe and take for granted... but to weigh and consider.
