Thank you. That helps. I'll start with your suggestion to remove the photos I'm happy with. Can you clarify about the PhD photo files or pictures? Do they remain in my computer file that I uploaded from, and are the adjusted photos kept there?
I thought they were in the PhD program, but maybe not. So I have a file, or folder, in my computer Picture file named David 50, and in it are more than 50 photos from which I will choose the 50 best. Are the PhD photos I adjust kept in that folder? So when I upload to Shutterfly, I would choose only the original good ones, plus only the adjusted ones, from that same folder on my computer? I've been confused about where all the photos (some of which I have unnecessarily loaded into PhD) are, or where the bunch of photos are, that I want to upload to Shutterfly. In other words, when all photos are satisfactory to me, are they in my David 50 folder on the computer, and is that the source for uploading to Shutterfly as I normally do with photos not put into PhD?
Thanks, and it will take some time to get started, but I will get back to you.

I have used PhotoDirector 9 several months ago and got the hang of it. I adjusted all our slides to my satisfaction and saved as JPGs.
Now I have a relatively small project and cannot figure out several things. I have looked through the user guide, done forum searches, looked at YouTube videos - not finding the help I need. I'm finding all kinds of directions for doing unusual things I don't want to do, but don't see how to save the changes. Hope someone can walk me through a few basic things, and then I'll be done.
I'm trying to improve perhaps 20 out of 68 photos in my PD tray so that I can upload the lot to Shutterfly to make a book of 50 photos for my son's 50th birthday. Many photos aren't the best quality, but they are memories.
I don't want to do anything fancy - remove a few red-eyes - what I've tried so far makes them look creepy.
Lighten a few, which I can do successfully. But I can't find basic info on how to save them with my changes. Last time the ones I changed had a little yellow triangle in the corner so I could identify my improved slides in the tray. This time I'm getting some saved as PNGs, which get filed somewhere else on my computer, and some I have several tries and don't know which is my final version. I can't tell which is the improved photo that I'm satisfied with.
I'm also trying to remove an electrical cord in one photo. I think it's called clone and heal, but not getting the little outline that I can then drag off to side so the wall color shows through.
That's about it, but I've worked for 3 days, and get more confused the more I read and try. Is there a YouTube video that can help me out? Or can someone give me simple, clear instructions?
Thanks to anyone who can give a hand here.

I'm returning to editing a few photos in Photo Director 9 after being away for a few months. I can't get red eye fix to work. Must be something simple I'm doing wrong.
I have the photo up in the work space. I click on adjustments/manual. I zoom in for accuracy, and click on red eye tool. When I click on the eye it zooms the photo back to full size. Nothing else happens.
Haven't found answer that works in user guide. Can someone help me out here?
Thanks.
Me again. I was trying to edit on the left screen. Finally figured out it's the right-hand screen where the editing happens. I'm good to go, for now.
