here is a downsized sample where you can see the shadows

people were taking phone pics and they all got shadows too
I took pics of people standing in front of banner that had a lot of white in it in darker room and there was the circular light on a stand providing good lighting in that area but all pics show shadows. There were people taking phone pics who got those shadows as well

What is the best way to remove or reduce those shadows using photo director ?
I have Photo 365 and I tried to batch auto convert a folder of 3 photos after selecting all I did the auto correct but only 1 photo got that correction

How do I apply that auto correct or any other tweak to all the photos at once ?
I have Photo 365 and want to be able to add a batch of photos and put my logo on each and then export all at once

please let me know how to do this
yes the re converting of the files can take a long time and it is a waste of time

they should have already added this support since many cameras can record these kinds of files
Adobe did an update to support GH6 RAW quite some time ago
STILL NO SUPPORT FOR GH6 RAW FILES even though it was mentioned to them many months ago

Quote Hello detroit123,

You are correct to a point. My observation here is that the .RW2 files import successfully, but do not display correctly. Given that the Panasonic GH6 was only recently released (March 22), it's perhaps understandable that PhD hasn't been adapted/patched to correctly deal with these files.

I downloaded some sample files from the GH6 from Photography Blog & the RW2 displayed as shown below, in both PhD 365 & PhD 13:

I'm sure the team at CyberLink would be aware of this issue, but I'll alert them anyway.

PIX
I remember this was talked about in the past but these files still do not import in Power Director

by now they should have updated the software to support these files

many cameras can record in these formats and in order to use PD, I would have to convert those files into something else before putting them in Power Director
I have the same hardware accelerator settings, etc but it seems the PD 20 from Director Suite is slower than my PD to produce high res files

have others noticed this ?
UNINSTALLING quicktime fixed the problem. So somehow the LAV filters had caused some change in quicktime and I still had the problem after uninstalling LAV but now after uninstalling quicktime, the Power Director Works and I can see the crop and zoom, etc

Quote
I have already explained exactly what happens, when you input the file the thumbnails is black, when you add to the timeline you can see and play the video in the player on upper right but if you try to crop zoom, that window is black and if you try to produce the software crashes. Cyberlink has been told this multiple times and I assume they tried to uninstall LAV but they now have seen the problem and they do not know how to fix it

I must've missed that. Forum members aren't privy to Tech Support communications. laughing

So far, I haven't been able to replicate the issue with (a) thumbnails, (b) crop/zoom/pan, or (c) producing using some GH6 sample files. I was using a mixture of H.265/5.8K, H.264/UHD & ProRes/5.7K clips on a PC with LAV filters & splitters installed.

Screenshots attached.

Cheers - Tony
their response is laughable. see below. They do not know how to fix this
why would I need to re install windows ? ALL other Programs on My Computer are working normal EXCEPT Power Director

With a reference to your concern, we found that there are some files/folders that would still remain in the system after uninstalling the 3rd party program "LAVFilters" via the Windows control panel. Although you have uninstalled the 3rd party LAVFilters program on your platform, there still might be some files or registries remaining.
C:\Program Files (x86)\LAV Filters
C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\125\{7C5A40EF-A0FB-4BFC-874A-C0F2E0B9FA8E}_LAV Filters_unins000_exe
The codec or settings may be changed by "LAVFilters" and cannot be reversed by the uninstallation. Per our further checking, the condition remains on several platforms after uninstalling "LAVFilters", we have already escalated the condition to our engineering team for further checking.
If you have urgent needs to edit a certain video, as we are not the developer of the 3rd party program "LAVFilters", we are afraid that we cannot solve the condition or restore the system settings via the PowerDirector program code way. We suggest you consult with the 3rd party program "LAVFilters" developer to restore the settings, fully delete all the related files/folders generated on your system and have further support for the condition.
Or, reinstall the Windows system to have a fresh system setting. It could be the most feasible solution currently.

I cannot find any director contact info for LAV filters
cyberlink is seeing the same problem as me after the LAV. That is good in your case

they were given a video sample long time ago and again, all these same files were working in Power Director before
even now all these same files work in all other software including color directors. ONLY Power Director has the problem

these were Panasonic GH6 videos

Quote I wouldn't put my feeble advice up against the engineering team at CL. They've obviously dug into the problem & can replicate it on different platforms... even after the LAV filters have been uninstalled (?)

Did you provide them with camera files for testing? What camera is it? What recording settings were used?

Also - & I guess you already explained this in your support ticket - but what actually happens in PDR? You said "not work correctly".

This has caused both Power Director 18 and 20 to not work correctly with my Camera Files

P.S. You don't need to buy Revo. The free version does enough to remove registry files.

Anyway - I'll be interested to see the outcome.

Cheers - Tony
I still want Cyberlink to figure out how to correct this. There is no guarantee that the Revo will correct this problem plus I have to buy the Revo and then try to use it.
I already tried Iobit Uninstaller and it did not find any LAV files left

I've never had any issues with LAV filters & PDR. Maybe it related to your particular camera files, as you said.

Have you tried using a dedicated uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller? Here's how they suggest uninstalling LAV filters. The scan phase is what removes "hidden" files.

That's the first thing I'd try anyway.

Cheers - Tony
I am hoping someone knows how to fully uninstlall the LAV Filters

This has caused both Power Director 18 and 20 to not work correctly with my Camera Files

I already installed and uninstalled this product on Aug 1 but still have the same problem and Cyberlink also got the same problem with Power Director after they installed LAV

All other Software on my Computer for Video is working Fine; only the Power Directors products with the Camera Files have the problems

ok thanks I got the text part and was able to quickly create a template that goes right acrosss the photo
Hi. I see that but how do I type the text. I was not seeing that. I can move the box and pick the type and size of the text but was not able to actually type the text I want

Quote Hello detroit123,

Have you had a chance to try Guided > Frames & Watermarks > Watermark Templates/Creator?

It's quite simple to format a watermark & save it as a template for future use.

""""

BTW, it was naughty of me to plant a © symbol on that photo since I didn't take it ""embarassed"". Just an example.

PIX
I have photo 365 and want to create a logo that is a strip going horizonatally across the center any photo I put it on that will have my name repeatedly

please let me know the best way to create this
They claim they are still looking into it but I have been complaining since Monday and they do not have any solution

I already uninstalled my PD 18 and re installed, then I also purchased Director Suite and installed the new PD

I told them this info along with the fact that both my Color Director's can handle the files

there is nothing wrong with my graphics card either as all other Software is working on my Computer

I have sent them screen shots and also video recording of the software crashing when trying to produce as well as the black screen during crop and zoom
yes I have contacted Cyberlink Multiple times to tell them about this

it is very odd that the Color Directors are handling the files easy but the PD versions are not

I really need to get this fixed asap

Hi,

Just to clarify - have you raised a support ticket with CL and have they come back with anything? If you haven't then I recommend you do so because the issue seems to be restricted to PDR on your system so it will be difficult for members to test anything, only offer "best guess" suggestions.

The Server Busy error message you mentioned in your previous post (https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97392.page#post_box_391798)

is generally a Windows system error message. If you google it you will find a number of possible causes and solutions that might shed some light?

It may be (it certainly was in the past) that PDR uses different player configurations in differing functions - and that can be why something works in the media library player but not in the timeline player for example, but what the current position is I'm not sure.

Cheers

I have both Power Director 18 Ultimate and today I purchased Director Suite which has PD 20

I was using my Panasonic GH6 5.8K MOV files for several months with no problems in PD 18 but now they show black screen in the zoom and crop and the Software Crashes when trying to produce

Today I purchased Director Suite and tried the same file and the PD 20 did the same thing !

these camera files were working fine all this time until a few days ago. I have attached mediainfo. These are quicktime type files

same files are working in all my other software including Color Director 7 and the NEW Color Director too

also, most any other kind of file is working in both my Power Directors except for these MOV Camera files

this is very baffling and I hope someone has an idea on how to fix this as both Power Directors are giving me the same problems with these files

I think it is codec related; somehow the Power Directors are not able to recognized the codec correctly on this same computer

hope someone has a solution for this
