No problem! I would like to thank you for telling me about FF because guess what? It worked!

The software I use is called 'Open Broadcaster Software'. It's really user friendly and my games run well with it. I personally prefer it to Fraps or Bandicam. It's also popular with gamers who stream live on game streaming sites such as twitch as it allows you to connect directly to their servers through this software. Though I just use it to record and save to my computer for editing.

Yes I just use stereo for the audio settings.

I'll give Format Factory a try. Thanks for your suggestion.
Thanks for your reply guys. I shall be using AAC from now on. I also tried it in premier and was having the same issue as Kevin stated.

I do indeed now need to go down the route of converting the audio to another format which doesn't seem to be easy.

I tried your method previously of extracting the audio from with in PD's media library but it won't work due to it being MP3 and an error pops up.

I guess I just need to extract the audio externally through software which can accept it...
I have been recording game footage with screen capture software and I chose the MP3 codec for audio encoding. Now when I play the video in VLC or WMP they pick up the audio fine. When I import the video into PD11 it does not include audio in the preview or when I put it on the timeline. It's simply not there. It is fine with the AAC codec but I need to get this video done for a deadline. I didn't think MP3 would be an issue. Any ideas? Thanks.
