OK. So I bought PowerDirector 12 Ultra. I pulled in a 5 minute clip (MTS File) and produced it as an H.264 AVC. 1920 x 1080 60i. Then I burned an AVCHD disc. However, just like the freeware I found, it will not play in my blu ray players. I have a Vizio model VBR337 and a LG BD570 and the disc just gets ejected after it tries to load in the player. On the LG an "error" comes up as it is ejected. The disc plays on my computer with Power DVD10. So what am I doing wrong? I've spent the cash and still can't do what I want. Does the type of blank DVD matter? I am using DVD+R Memorex discs.
Thanks for the info. Sounds like PD12 will do what I want it to do. I plan to make the purchase today and will let y'all know how it turns out!
So, as far as the full version is concerned, it (powerdirector 12) should be able to produce AVCHD discs from my camcorder footage that will have HD quality and are playable on modern blu ray players. Is that correct?
I want to take the files from my HD camcorder and make a disc that will play on my blu ray player. I hear that an AVCHD disc is my only option for burning regular recordable DVDs and having something that will play in my blu ray player and have HD quality. My camera records in MTS files. I have tried making an AVCHD disc with some trial versions of software online, but none of them play in my blu ray players, they say disc error. I don't have a blu ray disc burner. Will PowerDirector12 Ultra allow me to make an AVCHD disc from my MTS files and it actually looks like HD when I play it on my blu ray? I have found freeware that will let me make a disc from my MTS files, but the quality is nowhere close to being as good as the video looks on my computer or when played straight from my camera. I want to make discs to preserve my movies and to share with family. So before I throw down the money to buy PowerDirector I wanted to know if it will do what I want it to. Thanks.
