Thank you for your suggestion and contribution Carl312.
However, I've downloaded the trial version of CLPD10 over the past two days and absolutely loved the normalize function.
So I went ahead and contacted one of my friends, who happened to own a brand new store-purchased CD version of CLPD10 Ultra (unused with activation code and everything - he does video editing all the time and apparently got CLPD10 Deluxe from someone else as a Christmas present and was looking to get rid of the duplicate Ultra version).
I bought it off of him...which leads me to my next issue.
I will start a new thread in the CLPD10 forum - although I do realize purchasing it from a friend, despite it being brand new, is not subject to technical support - I am hopeful that someone can help me out here.
If you have time, please follow my post in the CLPD10 forum. Happy new year!

I've been using the full version of CLPD8 for over a year now. The output options available range from AVI, MPEG1&2, WMV, RM, to MP4 but the only audio file option is the WMA formats listed under WMW.
When I attempt to import the WMA generated via CLPD8 directly into Audacity, it comes out as a malfunctioning audio clip about 0.1 seconds in length, despite it playing back perfectly outside of Audacity. This issue only seems to occur with WMA files generated via CLPD8.
I've been adjusting the volume level by ear for months now and I'm starting to worry about becoming deaf.
May as well purchase CLPD10 but I'm planning to wipe out my harddrive before doing so and I can't do that at the moment so I need a way to normalize w/o simply upgrading.

I understand that CLPD10 has this feature but is it available on 8?
I read in another topic that people are exporting the audio and using Audacity to adjust the volume across different clips automatically but it is a pain in the ass because CLPD8 won't allow you to produce mp3 files and Audacity rejects WMA files due to patent issues.
Converting it to mp3 via a third-party software decreases the audio quality.
Anyway to normalize the volume on CLPD8 without dealing with all this?
