Does anyone know why the logo in all my videos look like there are floating?
The HvP Video Canon S5IS I like to have still in the same place.
Thanks
And by the way, I thank everyone here for doing this support on a Volunteer basis.
I know this takes a lot of personal time.
Great Job.
Hi All,
Well I managed to create the spinning globe.
Its a bit large 1000x1000 when shrinking then the letters get to small.
So I will redo.
But what I noticed, can it be done with a transparent background instead of white?
Also when adding to the timeline how do I resize all of them at the same time?
If I double click on the on clip and select fade out and the other clip fade in that works good but it fades to black.
I want no colors just the actual clips overlapping. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.
I had many answers and tried them but its not what I am looking for.
Maybe something I don't do right obviously.
Carl had send me a solution but it works with still pictures only, as far as I can tell.
Take a look please at this Dentistry video. Look at during the interview how the fades go from the dentist to who ever.
After the Bald guy is talking (grin).
I want to do the same as seen in this video.
Would be real great if someone had a Toot about this.
Quote:So sorry, I ask this before but I been using the fade in/out wich gives you the black fade.
Here you see a fade going from one person's face to another. How can I do this?
I am looking to do this... see attached snapshot.

Thanks
In your preferences you can change the default transition from 'Cross' to 'Overlap' and that will give you a fade from one clip/image to the other. Both images will show for the duration of the transition.

Yes, it is very simple.
1. Mark your picture in timeline (as shown on your snapshot)
2. choose Keyframe box (above timeline)
3. choose opacity function and set it to 0 at the beginning of your picture
4. move the slider a little bit to the right (1 second for instance) and set opacity to 100
5. exit keyframe settings
Quote:That would depend on what the original embedded audio is.
Do you mean the format? Or kind of music sound?
Here is a link to a short you tube video of mine. I want to put together a 2 hour event.
So here you can listen to the audio which is just outside.
I am referring to people talking and other noises.
Sorry I don't understand and it is very easy I guess?
This snapshot here... the videos are on top track and the picture in the lower.
When I drag it up it ask to insert or overwrite. I don't want either.
How to make the picture fade in?
Sorry if I don't explain to good my English is not that good. Maybe someone can tell me in German?
Thanks
Hmm
I tried what Hal is suggesting but on playback it still is dark.
I like to fade as transparent so you can actually see the other video fading in or out.
Quote:If I get what you are trying.. You have 1 video followed by 10 pictures and the those pictures are followed by another video.
1. What kind of audio is in the video? Just music or the normal stuff a video recording picks up, like talking or whatever?
2. Are you wanting to extend the audio from (which?) video to continue along with the 10 pictures?
There are things you can do, but I am still trying to understand what it is you want.
You cannot make a video or sound file "longer" than it already is by trying to stretch or expand it. You can only shorten it by doing that. And of course you lose some of it.
Kmot is on the right track....
You can separate the audio from the video and paste a copy of the audio under the pictures. And you can use a good sound editor to edit the audio file and cut and paste to make a longer audio file. I have been doing that for years when a audio file is a little short. I edit it and make it longer, and depending on the song you don't know it has been lengthened.
Yes that is exactly what I like to do. Continue same sound from video background. Like you say its outside and street noise and talking etc .
What sound editor do you use? Also sounds like you must match the time span of the 10 pictures right.
Hmm I have to learn using sound editor now but which one and is it free? LOL
Sorry but I am working on a project and all of the sudden these questions pop up.
I have a video clip with sound then insert 10 still pictures and then continue with more video.
How can I take the sound from the video and use it on the still photos?
I did separate the sound from video but I cannot extent the sound.
What audio format do I need to drag it out further?
Quote:Is it possible to fade in or out so that you see the actual video rather then fading to black?
I appreciate if anyone can tell me how to.
Thanks once again.
There are two methods that I use regularly.
1. I have my preferences for transitions set to 'Overlap'. This gives a view of each of the clips as the transition progresses. I use the 'Fade' transtion for simple fades that do not require specific timing.
2. For fades that require specific timing I do not use a transition. I place the clips on different tracks, set the fade in and out, then move the clips and keyframes to the timing that I want. This gives more control over the transition from one clip to the next and I can time the fade to get the desired look.
Hal
GREAT Hal very much appreciate it. It's always easy once you know how. (grin)
Thanks
I have used the fade in / out option on many of my clips. Later I decided to split the clip once more and the fade in / out I think still shows but it not working. How can I make it work again after the split?
Thanks for any help.
Quote:In the timeline I have some slideshows then video more slides more video...
The video portion has sounds and slides no sound.
How can I copy the same sound from the video portion and add this into the slideshow portion?
Thanks for any help.
You can do a couple of things.
1. Extract audio from the video, use the audio in another track.
To extract audio from video, right click on the video in the Library extract audio. Produces a WAV file.
