Hi,
I am working on a project and someone has sent me some xmf files. I know this is yet anothe format championed by some Video Cam manufacturers, but it seems PowerDirector cannot import xmf files.
As this is a one-off issue I don;t want to go out and buy a commercial product for something I'll probably never use again. Demo versions seem to leave a watermark or cripple their demo software - perfectly reasonable but doesn't help me.
I see there are a number of free XMF converters from Wondershare, Iskysoft, Aiseesoft, Amazingshare and others, but I was hoping someone in the forum could give some advice on (a) are their any freebies that are any good, and (b) are they safe to use (i.e. not freeware loaded with malware).
Any advice greatly appreciated!

Having exactly the same problem, so have also contacted Tech Support - thanks for the post George - I hope I have the same success.
I wonder why Cyberlink don't make that update available online. Only 1424C seems to be available publicly.
Fingers crossed!

Thanks Tony,
Yes (to the last comment in your post) that was what I was getting to. OK, if they can't be deleted, I have nothing to worry about! Thanks for clearing that up - much appreciated.
Tx,

I made the mistake of clicking on "purchase" when using Smartsound - just to see what was there, and listened to a couple of samples. I wasn't interested, but now there's a whole bunch of files added to the list (from that online collection) which I don't want clogging up my list every time I open Smart Sound. I want to delete them from the list, but can't find how to do it!
(I found the files which came with the PD10 and also the actual sample files (which I could delete) but not the list of files in Smartsound (after the standard ones).
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these?
Tx
