Thank you to all of you. Your explanations were very clear and your references were very relevant. So now, my understanding on how to create a DVD or a disc is much better than before. I brought some corrections to my DVD and it works the way I wished.
Thanks again

There is no such option as you quote about selected chapter. The "Playback Mode Settings", which you might be referring to, only deals with titles, not chapters. Multiple titles are created by importing multiple videos or pds projects into the content tab.
Jeff
Thank you Jeff. I will modify my pds projects to get multiple titles. I work with the french version, so maybe, I misundertand titles and chapter.

Using PD 16, I always had a problem creating a DVD. Even though I choose the option "Read only the selected chapter" the DVD never returns to the DVD main menu. It continues reading all the following chapters. I know it's not a problem from burning process since I have the problem when I check with the "Preview" before burning the DVD.
I thought it was a bug in PD16, so I upgraded to 17 version, but the problem still there. Maybe I do something wrong. If you know the solution, I would appreciate you let me know.
Thanks

Maybe I do something wrong... I'm new to PD and it's the first time I need to create a dvd menu. I have one title formed by two clips. Each clip has been tagged respectively as chapter one and chapter 2 and I chose the option to play only the selected chapter. When I click on "Scenes" it goes the the chapter menu where I can select one of both chapters. My understanding is that it should play the selected chapter and return to the menu. That's what happens when I select chapter 2 (maybe because there is no more clip on the time line) but it's not the case when I select chapter one. After reading, it did not return to menu but continue reading the title with chapter 2.
It's very basic menu, and I worked on it for 2 days now trying to overcome that with no success. Can anyone help me finding the solution ?

I search in the tutorial book and videos but I did'nt find the way to do it. I want to zoom in on an image and add pyrotechnics effects on the same image
There is only one track where we can place an effect, and it looks impossible to overlay 2 or more different effects on the same clip or image. Is there a special way to do that?
Thanks

Thank you Mark for your answer. At least I know I'm not alone with this problem if it is one...

My PC runs under Windows 7 -- 64bits with 8Gb memory, my version is 10 ultra 1129b
Just an example: I select a video clip for which I want to vary lightning adjustment (as explained in user guide at pages 82 and 83). Using keyframe option, I go on a specific image and create a first keyframe with, let's say, Lightning Adjustment scale degree at 25. I move the cursor on the right and create another keyframe at 50 on the Lightling Adjustment scale degree.
Normally, between those 2 keyframes I should expect the lighning to increase gradually from 25 to 50. But it does not work that way; my whole clip is set to 50 whatever I create keyframes or not with different ligthning adjustment selection.
It works fine when I want to change the Brightness for example, but it does not work with effects
I tried with other effects and the result is always the same. No keyframes work. The changes are never progressive as it should be according to the user guide.
Maybe I do something wrong or don't really understand the way it really works. I use the ultra version ugraded from PowerDirector 9. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it without success. Maybe somebody can have some tricks or idea to help me. Thanks
