I have been using PowerDirector 8 (installed as part of MediaSuite 9) since May with periodic crashes with the "PowerDirector has stopped working" error, but it hasn't been a huge deal up until this point, because after restarting the app things seem to work just fine for awhile. However, recently after Producing my video (AVI or MPEG2) and selecting Create Disc, I can no longer get to the page where I can burn the video to DVD, as I get the "PowerDirector has stopped working error every time" (for what it is worth, I can also not open PowerProducer directly, as I get the error "PowerProducer has stopped working". I have been going back and forth with technical support for 2 days, and they just keep asking me for additional information, so I am hoping that someone here can help me expedite resolution of this issue. Here are some more details:
My Laptop Configuration is attached.
A recent DxDiag.txt is attached.
Snapshot of the windows event log is attached.
Let me know if there is any other information I can provide to help diagnose the problem.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, I really like this tool, but I am dead in the water until I can resolve this issue.
