I have been using Power Director for a number of years now but have never encountered this problem before. I just recently updated to PD8 Ultra Build 2220c.

System:
Program is installed on a new HD 500g (old one crashed). SATA
Working directory on second HD 200g. SATA
MB - Asus P5E Deluxe
Processor - Intel Core2 Quad Q9550 2.83g
4g Memory
XP Pro Service Pack 3
DVD Burners IDE - 2 (Master LG Super Multi Litescribe & Slave LG Super Multi)
Video - ATI Radeon HD4670 - 1g Memory

Project is 31 minutes, combination of video, still and music. Some music from magic music, some added. Project is stable and I have burned a copy without menu. When I try to burn with a menu I get a MotionMenuGenerator error and the burn process fails. When I cancel the burn I get the usual "Do you want to stop the burn". After clicking 'yes' the program stops responding. I have also tried to burn the project to a folder and get the same error.

Is this something that has been noticed by others. Any ideas as to how I can get this corrected?

Screen shots:
1) Menu setup before the burn (halmenu.jpg)
2) Start burn - I have tried both/ same result (halburn.jpg)
3) First error msg - every attempt (halerror.jpg) OS - Win11 Pro, Alienware R13, CPU - Intel Core I7-12700KF 12 CPUs), 16g DDR5 4400 RAM, Video - Geeforce RTX 3080ti 12g, PD11 & PD365

Please attach the images to your reply post. Remember they must be less than 100kb in size.

Dafydd,
Thanks for the reply. I have tried a couple of times to attach the files but seem to be doing something wrong. Sizes are 81, 95 & 97Kb.

1) I click on 'attach files'
2) Add the three files
3) Click submit

Am I missing a step here? I will attempt it now as well.

Dafydd,

I must have missed one of the steps the previous attempts.
I am attaching the dxdiag file to this message.

Just downloaded Build 2508. I will install and see if I get the same error with magicmotiongenerator.exe.

Will post back as soon as I test the new build.

Just an update.

With build 2508 installed the error with the magicmotiongenerator seems to be resolved.

Thanks again

Hal
