CyberLink has made a hotfix available for perpetual users to fix the issue that there is a glitch in the audio when two clips overlap. Please only apply the hotfix if you feel comfortable modifying program files. A perpetual patch should be available in the near future.
1. Close the PowerDirector 21 program.
2. Go to the following folder.
C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector21\runtime\CES
3. Select and move the file “CLEdtKrn.dll” in the folder to the desktop or another folder as a backup.
4. Download the ZIP file from the link below:

5. Unzip the downloaded file.
6. Open the unzipped folder, select and copy the file “CLEdtKrn.dll” in it.
7. Paste the copied files into the folder:
C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector21\runtime\CES
8. Launch PowerDirector and check if the condition exists
