I have Media Suite 16. I want to do the following:

  1. Copy a DVD from the disk to my hard drive.

  2. Go ito thehard drive file and select or cut a piece out to a new file.

  3. Upload the selected piece to both an email and to a Facebook forum

I've used the Media Suite before but only to copy from one music CD to burn another. This was about 3 years ago and is the limit of my experience with CyberLink products.

  • What kind of DVD is it? One that you created previously in PowerDirector or in another software? If it's a commercial DVD, you can't copy it to your hard drive with media suite

It's a private DVD prepared by avideographjer under contract with the subject. The DVD is about 30 years old and I'm copying a part of it for a scholarly issue.

I've found another way to copy the part that I need in an easier fashion . . . I think..

    Thanks.
