I bought a Dell last year and a Dell USB Slim DVD Drive. I installed the CyberLink Media Suite 12 software and am now trying to use it for the first time to watch an instructional DVD. The video is coming through fine, but no sound. I have checked that the sound is not on mute either on the PC or in the software. Any suggestions?

Hi, which version of PowerDVD are you using? Click on the PowrDVD logo in the program to find out.

How is the audio being outputted? Directly from your laptop/computer speakers, or is it connected to an external device, like a receiver? If you are using a S/PDIF connection, deselect the Dolby and DTS decoding compatibility of the audio device in Windows Sound Control Panel > Playback > S/PDIF device > Supported Format tab.
