I'm trying to burn some MP4 (h264) files to a DVD using AVCHD, so I can watch my videos in 1080p on my bluray player, without having to buy a bluray burner.

The files combined are within the disc size limit, but whenever I put them in PowerProducer, it is suddenly 18GB, while the original files are just 3.24GB, while I have set the quality settings all to keep the original file quality.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or do I just have to burn the DVD as a data-disc?

From the quality drop-down in settings/preferences try "Smart Fit". The bitrate quality of the file will be adjusted to fit the disc.
