Finer Control Over Movement of Timeline Items?

Instead of using the mouse to move items (clips, transitions, duration, etc) in a timeline is there some way to move these with finer precision using incremental changes with arrow keys or something? Is the mouse the only way to manipulate items in a timeline or can the mouse precision be changed? This for PD20.
Thanks for any tips!

Alt + left arrow key or right arrow key will move clip 1 frame. Zooming in on the timeline one can also easily move 1 frame with the mouse.
