Waveform is out of sync with the actual sound.

I have a narration track (mp3) and when I look at the sound wave, it does not sync in the preview. Sometimes, when it does, after rendering there comes more and more delay in the final video and the last 2 seconds are cut off completely from the audio. The video is a few minutes long, and after around 1 minute the audio will go out of sync (with the waveform). So, when the audio is fine in the preview, the rendered version is out of sync. And sometimes the audio is out of sync in the preview already when I look at the sound wave.

I'm using the PowerDirector 365.

Anyone else with the same problem or a solution?

Hi,

PDR can sometimes find some .mp3's difficult to work with. The common suggestion is to convert the .mp3 to .wav using a third party converter like Handbrake.

It's probably worth a try to see if that gets round the issue, before getting into the technicalities of differing audio file specs.

Cheers
