Playback stopping at clip joint on timeline after adding an effect

Hi after doing any effect to any clip on the timeline, the playback stops everytime at the clip end and stops playing. I have to move the play head manually a few frames forward to get it to play ,the next clip. Any help woild be appreciated.

When the tool window is open, PD will automatically set the timeline preview mode to Clip so that you can make any needed changes.

To preview anything beyond the slected clip from the timeline, you first have to close the tool. You may also need to press the Page Down key to put the timeline preview into Movie mode.
