Is there a way to eliminate the wallpaper in PowerDVD 19?

I don't want any image, it makes it too hard to see the text. Is there a way to just have a black (or plain color) background other than make a .jpg that is black and upload it?

I don't think so. What you can do though is import a solid black image (or whatever colour you want) as your background to essentially acheive the same result.
