Exporting pictures without recalculating images not possible? (adding EXIF tags)

When exporting pictures, (although only the EXIF tags were set and the face recognition was running) PhotoDirector is recalculating the images. - The JPG files are getting bigger and with each recalculation the quality goes down.

Is it possible to extract the same pictures, just with the EXIT tags in addition? Even better would be to just add the EXIF Tags to the original pictures.

Hello kidex,

Welcome to the PhotoDirector forum "laughing"

Before investigating your reported issues, could you please provide some further information?

  1. What adjustments were made to photos, aside from ading keywords & face tags?

  2. In the Export dialogue, what settings were selected or modified?

  3. How did you determine that "the quality goes down"?

You can add tags to original photos in Windows. Right click > Properties > Details > Tags.

Hello again,

In the absence of further information, I just ran a short test using JPG photos (compressed in camera) from a Canon 1DX-Mkiii.

Without making any adjustments or adding tags etc, & using 100% quality settings in the export dialogue, the exported file sizes from PhD12 exactly matched the original JPG files.
