I noticed two different changes in forum behavior today.

1) The first is that if I copy a forum address, such as the one for the PDR19 & 365 Read Me Before Posting guide: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/83321.page what actually gets pasted into the forum's text box is the title of that discussion: "Read Me Before Posting - Suggestions to Get the Best Results (cyberlink.com)" but it doesn't seem to be an active hyperlink.

The only way I can paste the actual URL is to not copy a critical component (like the full leading https) or paste the full link an a text editor and remove something like the leading h.

If I paste the full link into the forum's Link tool

both the URL and Text to display fields are filled with the full URL text. That's never happened before.

2) The other strange issue is that the forum index page is showing phantom entries.

As the composite screenshot shows, there is a single reply to the OP in the Can PD19 play videos created in PD12? discussion by JL_JL @ 14:44, but the index page shows a non-existent reply from me at 16:04:

I hope someone can look into these issues and let us know if any are intentional.

Hello,

I could not duplicate the first issue. It seems to be working normally for me. Maybe I misunderstood what you did, but I just copied and pasted the URL from three topics and pasted in a new topic. See attached image.

For number 2, I have passed it on the CL RD forum team to look into.

Thanks for your reply.

I made a screen capture of what I'm seeing with MS Edge and Win10 20H2 (it also occurs when using the Opera browser). Right-clicking in the forum's text box doesn't bring up a context menu, so I'm using the Ctrl+V keys to paste over and over:

I've never seen anything like this before and don't have any idea what's going on! surprisedundecided

Hello,

I tried again in Edge, and still cannot duplicate, but I passed on your video. Will let you know if I hear anything.

Regards.

Quote I tried again in Edge, and still cannot duplicate, but I passed on your video. Will let you know if I hear anything.

Near the last week of November, I replaced the US keyboard on my pc and noticed some behavior changes in the PD forums and in using Google Docs. The Chromium Edge and Chrome browsers performed similarly. I had believed that the changes seen may be from Windows recognizing a new keyboard. Using the Edge browser:

Foreign language posts no longer require me to hit the star to get the popup translate window. The popup window will occur automatically.

Copy and then paste a url with Ctrl-v only post the heading and not the url link just as optodata reported. I can get around that by using Ctrl-Shift-v . This workaround works in 26 sec. Into the YouTube video ‘Cyberlink forum crazy paste issue’

The PD forums page sometimes displays in Japanese and I have to find the round world ball on the top right, click and then change it to US on the top left.

About the same time CL updated the "Support Center" portal (https://www.cyberlink.com/support/index.html) to add the "365 for Mac (Subscription)" version. Unfortunately, now searches don't work correctly. Sometimes nothing is found when I know there are hits, sometimes something found but then the down select boxes are missing as shown in attached figure Support_search.PNG. One can refresh, go back a page, do something and it will often then trigger the down select boxes as shown in Support_search2.PNG pic of the identical search on the word "feature."

Using Chrome for browser.

Today I answered a post in the PD Forums and found that Ctrl-v works again in pasting a url. Ctrl-Shift-v also works. This points to the cause as not the US keyboard change that I thought was the cause but to a change in the PD forums that the admin there could not duplicate in Taiwan on his Chinese Traditional keyboard. Below is Ctrl-v and Ctrl-Shift-v repeated several times with a space added in between. They both do the same thing. https://youtu.be/lYxhMW8tvOM https://youtu.be/lYxhMW8tvOM https://youtu.be/lYxhMW8tvOM https://youtu.be/lYxhMW8tvOM .

Ctrl+Shift+V is still the only way to paste the true URL on my machine. Ctrl+V gives me the shorthand text with a working link in all Office apps, but the link doesn't work here when using Edge or Opera. Here are Ct+V, Ct+Sh+V, Ct+V, Ct+Sh+V:

I answered a few post today. Sadly my keyboard behavior has reverted to the way optodata reported it again.

Hello,

We got a reply for the CL.com team in Taipei today. The first issue was fixed, and we have this info about the second copying and pasting issue:

"As a result of our investigation, it’s considered as a compatibility problem between Chromium Edge and the third-party text editor we used on CL forum. RD has reported it to them. Hope they will release an update. Would you please suggest forum users who faced the situation trying a different browser? Chrome & Firefox work without the problem in there tests."

Hopefully it will be fully resolved soon.

Regards,
Admin
