Hi, I recently purchased a digital copy of Photo Director 8 along with a whole pakage of other softwares such as Power Director.

I noticed that in my Photo Director 8, I am missing the Overlay option under Photo Effects and the option "Layering" between Edit and Slideshow up top is also missing.

I have valid digital key and my product has been activated.

I'm wondering why I am missing these features?

I have attached a screencapture.

Thanks in advance.

It might be better to post in the Photo Director forum smile.

This was my error completely, Longedge. Quynhmy672 had posted it correctly & I moved it (having not read it properly). My sincere apologies to the OP.

I think the most likely cause of your "missing features" is that you've either purchased:

  1. PhD 8 Deluxe (not Ultra) - only Ultra has the Layers module, or

  2. Media Suite Ultra (not Ultimate) - only Ultimate has the Layers module in PhD

Could you please check your "About" screen to determine which version you have?

CyberLink has a 30-day refund policy so, if your purchase was within the last 30 days, you'll be able to get a refund and purchase the software you need.

It's understandable that people are confused with so many variants available. What's not understandable is a moderator misreading a post and moving it to the wrong forum embarassed
