Not activated error

powerdirector 15, won't open and warns me to activate even though Powerdirector is activated. Tried several re installs with and without antivirus connected, same results. I'm on windows 10 Fall creators .

Already added support ticket a week ago and received no reply other than the automated one so was hoping an experienced user might recognise the problem and have answers. I've been using the Powerdirector for a few months fully activated and paid for but not the screen capture and when I wanted it it just would not work.

Maybe someone can clarify this as my memory fails me right now, but I seem to recall that there is a file, possibly in the Boomarang folder, that needs to be deleted when this happens. Maybe move it or rename it until you are sure that is the problem. Unfortunately, I don't remember which file. __________________________________
