Webcam capture resolution

My new laptop has a webcam that can do 1080p. But when I go to Capture , it defaults to the DVD HQ profile. If I click on the capture Profile button, the only options I have is DVD and AVI. Neither of those choices allow 1080p.

Can we create a custom capture profile like we can with Produce Profiles?

FYI, the built-in Win10 Camera app does capture at 1080p with it.

Thanks, I'll try that out and see if it works with PD15.

edit: No didn't work. Comparng the files, appears the .dll included with PD15 is the new one anyway. Kind of wanted to try the PD15 capture because it has more options than the Win10 built in capture. It also capture MPEG2 while the Win10 app captures to MP4.

maybe this is what you wanted...

good thing you can capture in MP4 but i don't know about PD15.

PD10 captures in MPEG2 so captured videos are interlaced.

Thanks, Don't know how I over looked that. LOL What I find odd, there is an option for Progressive capture, but it just refuses to work. If I change it to 1280x720, it defaults to progressive and the option is greyed out. If the option is there for 1980x1080, then I should be able to use it.

The Win10 Camera app only captures in progressive. I wanted to use PD15 because it has the webcam advanced settings (brightness, contrast, hue, satruation, etc.). The Win10 Camera app was built with Win phones in mind.
